Other Info: The Ernst Mayr Library was founded in 1861 as the library of the Museum of Comparative Zoology. In 1995, the MCZ Library was renamed for Harvard biologist and former MCZ director Ernst Mayr, and joined the Harvard Library organization in 2019. The Ernst Mayr Library is a leading resource in the fields of natural history, zoology, paleontology, biodiversity, and comparative biology, and a founding member of the Biodiversity Heritage Library.
