Other Info: INFLIBNET(Information and Library Network) Centre is an autonomous body of University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, India. It is a inter-University centre of UGC. This is Indian national network centre of Universities, Colleges, National information Centre and Research & Development centre''s Libries. Centre has databases of Books, Theses, Serial holdings, current serials, research projects, subject expert and Institutions. Centre is providing databases search in online and offline both and CD-ROM search as well of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Economics, Social science and humanities etc on free of cast.
The library is developing its own automation system, that is SOUL (Software for University Library). It is a Windows based multiuser user friendly mainu driven software. They are scheduled to launch it on June, 1996. But this software we are using in our centre''s library. It is developed on Power Builder in front end and SQL server in back end. Almost it is covering all modules like Aquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, OPAC, ILL(Inter Library Loan), Administration. This software is actualy made for Indian university, college, R & D institute''s libraries. We will give this software in free of cost to all indian university, college libraries.
