Other Info: Located in Ssangmun-dong campus, University Library of app. 2,653 pyeong in area and 1,693 seats holds over 430,000 Oriental books, 90,000 Western books and 6,772 types of periodicals and collected papers. In particular, University Library is leading the way in achieving the status of multimedia library by holding over 380,000 pieces of micro data and 90,000 pieces of media data, such as audio/ video materials, slides and CD-ROM, etc. Satellite broadcasting is received from Europe and Asia and can be used for studies as a library service full of life. Data in collection can be searched through the library website. Also, abstracts and full texts of web database can be viewed on the Internet. Using original photocopy service, data not in collection of University Library are provided through request to other libraries both in Korea and abroad. In order to provide diverse academic information more promptly, University Library is currently pursuing to have the joint list through KERIS and the system of shared responsibility for data acquisition and cross-loan service with private universities in Northeastern part of Seoul. Also, affiliation has been concluded with National University of Seoul and National Assembly Library for mutual use of information on original texts of dissertations and DB of original texts respectively.
