Other Info: Bibliothèque de la Communauté d'Agglomération du Pays châtelleraudais. *Les Bibliothèques du Pays Châtelleraudais sont un réseau intercommunal de neuf bibliothèques, concernant les communes de Châtellerault, Archigny, Bonneuil-Matours, Naintré, Thuré, Vouneuil-sur-Vienne. Une dixième bibliothèque est en construction à Aveilles en Châtellerault (ouverture prévue en octobre 2006). Le réseau intercommunal se manifeste par une procédure d’inscription unique, l’accès à un catalogue commun sur internet et la mise en œuvre d’un programme d’animations coordonné sur l’ensemble du territoire. Les Bibliothèques du Pays Châtelleraudais offrent à leurs usagers une collection de plus de 150 000 livres, périodiques, cédéroms, documents sonores et vidéo. Le prêt est gratuit pour les résidents de la Communauté d’agglomération. Plusieurs fonds spécifiques sont conservés ou présentés aux usagers, entre autres : - Fonds local issu d’un legs du coutelier Camille Pagé - Fonds Descartes (dépôt de la Société cartésienne) - Fonds Québec-Acadie - Différents fonds thématiques dans les bibliothèques de la CAPC : Moyen-Age à Vouneuil, Transports à Naintré, etc.
