The goal is to ensure resource accessibility to all user groups, including individuals with special needs, by eliminating architectural barriers and providing specialized equipment and software. In terms of collection size, it is the second-largest library in Krakow, following the Jagiellonian Library, and one of the largest technical libraries in the country. The thematic scope of the collection gathered by the Main Library aligns with the research areas and study programs conducted at the University. The Main Library's collections can be used on-site, borrowed for external use, and accessed through interlibrary loans. Employees and students of AGH University have access to licensed e-resources from anywhere in the world through a proxy server. This is not possible for sources whose licenses or technical limitations do not allow it.
