Other Info: The Kaysville Branch is the newest branch in the Davis County system, but is actually the oldest public library in Davis County. The Kaysville City Library was established in 1921 and operated independently of the County library system—which was started in 1946. The Kaysville City Council voted in 2005 to merge with the Davis County Library, with the change to take effect on July 1, 2006. On that date, the library closed for remodeling and was reopened as a County branch library on August 12, 2006. The collection upon reopening contained approximately 56,000 items, with a target of eventually reaching 75,000 items.
