These libraries serve the population of twenty-six contiguous counties in Illinois covering 13,800+ square miles. The consortia operates SirsiDynix Symphony software hosted by SirsiDynix in their SaaS infrastructure. RSA has been in existence since 1980 and merged with the Alliance Library System in July of 1999. RSA returned to a Not For Profit organization in April 2011 due to the merger of the Alliance Library System with 4 other Illinois Library Systems. The Resource Sharing Alliance is centrally located to its membership in East Peoria. Illinois.
