Other Info: The library at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) is one of the largest botanical libraries in Europe and plays a vital role in supporting the information needs of research staff, students and the general public. The collection includes more than 60,000 books and 600 current periodicals as well as important collections of maps, nursery catalogues, photographs and original botanical art. The Archives house unique records from the Garden's history including correspondence, diaries and collecting notebooks relating to individuals associated with the Garden, e.g. George Forrest, Joseph Rock and many others. The Library is open for reference use by the general public.
