Other Info: The Cedar Valley Library Consortium (CVLC) serves Allen College, Cedar Falls Public Library, Hawkeye Community College, the University of Northern Iowa, Wartburg College, and Waterloo Public Library by making the catalogs of these libraries available online for access by patrons wherever Internet access is available. The CVLC is a technology-sharing consortium only. It does not share in the collection or purchasing of resources. The Cedar Valley Library Consortium began in 1996, and the original members were University of Northern Iowa (UNI), Cedar Falls Public Library, and Hawkeye Community College. Waterloo Public Library joined in 1999 and Allen College Library, which offers programs in nursing and allied health professions,joined the CVLC in 2001. Wartburg College joined in November 2008. The CVLC is governed by a Council, which consists of representatives from each member library.
