Other Info: Shanghai University Library is composed of three libraries. The library has a floor space of 55,000 square meters. The library houses a collection of 3.6 million print volumes and electronic resources of more than 500GB. More than 4,000 titles of periodicals are subscribed every year. The Library adopts SUN 5500 as main server and Horizon library automation system for library/information management. Some 300 terminals are available for various purposes, such as online retrieval, cataloging ,circulation, etc. As a important unit of the Library ,the Reference Division offers Masterí»s degree program of information science in collaboration with the School of International Business and Management. Besides, the institute also gives information literacy courses at different levels to undergraduates and postgraduates, and provides effective and reliable information services for scientific research, social investigation and technical exploitation. As a member of IFLA, Shanghai University Library has established contacts and academic exchanges with many other universities, institutes and libraries at home and abroad, The Library has set up interlibrary loaning and resource-sharing relation with many main academic and public libraries in Shanghai.
