Other Info: The Library of the Bank of Greece is one of the most comprehensive economic libraries in the country. Since Apr. 2013 it reports to the Centre for Culture, Research and Documentation. It is housed in the headquarters of the Bank. The Library was inaugurated in 1928, at the year the Bank of Greece was established as the central bank of the country. The Library's collection is constantly being developed aiming to support the operations of the Bank. The core subjects of its collection are economics, finance, banking, monetary policy, statistics, law and business administration. Although it is open to the public, it is not a lending library to the general public but only to the Bank's employees. The Library's collections include print and electronic resources. The collection of electronic resources gradually proliferates. The Library holds a rare book collection of about 1,000 volumes, the oldest dated in 1534. The Library is open to the general public during working days from 09:00 to 13:00. All interested users may consult 24/7 the Library's WebPAC.
