Other Info: The American Library in New Delhi, founded in 1946 is part of the Public Affairs Section of the American Embassy. Our objective is to provide timely and accurate information on life and culture in the United States to the Indian citizens. It is housed in a USG building at a separate location, 20 minutes away from the American Embassy. The library has an extensive program of outreach and information delivery. It is open to the general public offering reference services and a circulating collection on American life and culture.
