Other Info: We have recently moved to Norrington Library and Learning Commons in May, 2016. The McAfee Memorial Library, our former location, was housed in the Academic Underground, from November 1988 until May 22, 2015 (a man-made limestone cave located 150-170 feet below the surface). On that date, a "minor structural disturbance" occurred wherein several sections of the ceiling gave way. No one was injured as this incident took place shortly after 8 am on a Friday morning. The Library was closed immediately and services were relocated to a classroom space while all 7 staff members worked in a single room until August when we relocated to a former dormitory in two offices. The Archivist was able to return to the Archives which was later moved to another space in the Academic Underground. Much of our collection is in a closed stack environment. We pull material on request and in the last year have seen a considerable decline in face to face traffic thus our low circulation statistics. We are now relocated into our permanent home, Norrington Library & Learning Commons. It is our former Carnegie Library and is the only one being used as an academic library in the state of Missouri. We are in the process of getting new images of the building. As soon as those are available, I will e-mail them to you in Landscape format.
