Other Info: Founded in 1886, the University of Deusto is the oldest private university in Spain. A Jesuit institution, Deusto has an enrollment of over 10,000 students on its Bilbao and San Sebastián campuses and in the Deusto Business School in Madrid. The six faculties and schools—plus an associated teacher training college—are supported by the library, which resides in a building in Campus Bilbao designed by renowned architect Rafael Moneo. The library places special emphasis on new technologies, offers more than 1,700 study spaces aimed at facilitating teamwork, study, and research, and houses over one million print, electronic, digital, and heritage resources.
