Ex Libris is pleased to announce that David Yeo Seng Chye has been appointed as General Manager for Ex Libris Australia Pty Ltd effective July 15th, 2002.
David, who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Services from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Singapore, joins us from Novus Consulting, a company he founded in 1996 and where he performed consulting and project management services for the National Library Board and the Ministry of Education of Singapore. In this capacity, David also managed the implementation of automation systems for a number of important libraries, including the network of public and reference libraries, the national bibliographic utility and NUC system for the new SILAS service and a centralized automation project for 400 school libraries.
Previously, David was Manager, Asia region, for Dynix Australia Pty Ltd., responsible for Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan. In this assignment, David earned the South Australia Exporter Award of the Year for his employer. Prior to his association with Dynix, David held executive positions with Computer Processing Services, Singapore and Hong Kong, Sime Darby Systems, also of Singapore and Hong Kong, NCR Systems, Singapore, and Prudential Assurance Company.
After having successfully introduced its software products into the Australian market place, Ex Libris is expanding its operations in Australia by adding sales, implementation and support staff to its Australian subsidiary.
