DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, USA - February 1, 2002: Endeavor Information Systems announced Caroline Beatty has joined the company as the regional account manager in the Australian office. Beatty will work closely with Claire Hill, Australasian Support Manager, in the Marrickville, NSW, office. Beatty will assume responsibility for Endeavor's sales efforts in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on the Voyager integrated library management system and the ENCompass system for managing, searching and linking digital collections.
"The possibilities for integrated access suggested by the convergence of content delivery and library systems is one of the things that most intrigues me," Beatty said. "I'm excited about the opportunity to work for a company that recognizes these opportunities and is aggressively moving forward to make things happen. I am committed to supporting libraries in their quest to maximize the benefits of their diverse resources. "
Beatty comes to Endeavor with strong relationships already forged in the Australian library industry. She most recently worked for the Gale Group (Thomson Learning), as the Director of Sales for Australia and New Zealand. She was responsible for all aspects of sales: setting strategy, launching new products into the market and working with product development. Prior to the Gale Group, Beatty was a product manager within the Electronic Media division of DA Information Services.
"Endeavor is very pleased to have Caroline join our international team. Her experience within the library industry and her familiarity with the Australia/New Zealand marketplace, combined with her enthusiasm and dedication, makes her an excellent addition to our Australian regional office," said Gregor van Essen, Endeavor's Director of International Sales. "Together, Caroline Beatty and Claire Hill will ensure Endeavor supports the needs of the Australian and New Zealand marketplace, helping those libraries provide access to information, regardless of location or format - which has always been Endeavor's aim. "
