InfoVision Technology and Altarama Systems have concluded an agreement for InfoVision Technology to provide:
- Continued support for the Altarama library software products
- A migration path for all Altarama customers (using Data*Library, VTLS or Virtua) to InfoVision's Windows based Amlib Library Management System
InfoVision prides itself in providing quality and responsive support services to its customers, and now this new arrangement ensures that current support services and product knowledge will continue to be available to Altarama's customers.
Importantly, a migration path (including data conversion) is available to the Amlib Library Management System: a proven, robust and state of the art library management system that has been entirely Windows based since its initial release in 1994. Amlib is an Australian developed library management system that has been installed in over 200 libraries within Australia and overseas.
The agreement also provides for a wider range of products to be offered to Altarama's customers including InfoVision's AUSinfo Records & Document Management and CiVision Community Information & Bookings products.
In addition the Altarama ZGateway, Kinetica upload and Reference tracking products acquired by InfoVision can be available to an expanded customer base.
The continued support arrangement will be made available to all existing Altarama Data*Library and VTLS customers. Altarama customers who have recently upgraded from VTLS to Virtua will be offered special consideration and priority in migrating to Amlib.
