The City of Toulouse in France selects DRA Taos as the base for a wide regional consortium. The City's project includes the research library with its historical collections, the public library and its twenty branches, the Regional School of Music and the Museum of Modern Art. Eventually, The Museum of Natural History and other institutions such as the School of Fine Arts will join the network. The City also has plans to add the brand new library that will host a multi-media center and many other new services.
According to Jacques Surmonne, Head of Committee for System Selection, "DRA Taos was selected because of its ability to deal with large consortiums, and it provides large sites with the best and most flexible OPAC in the industry. In addition, the library appreciates the high level of service provided by DRA's office in France and its ability to undertake a full migration of its legacy system." Surmonne underlines that the city of Toulouse chose their new system "with full confidence that DRA will actively pursue the delivery of Taos."
Toulouse is France's fourth largest city. Located in Southern France, Toulouse plays a key role in France's economy with thriving aerospace and high tech industries.
