Bournemouth University and Talis Information have signed up to a three year partnership agreement for the provision of the library management system and other related services.
David Ball, Associate Head of Academic Services and University Librarian explained: "We have spent the last year looking in depth at what the market has to offer and at the functionality and development potential of other library management systems. We have come to the conclusion, after a rigorous analysis, that Talis Information not only provides a reliable and functionally rich library management system but is also developing a range of products and services in accord with our plans. We are particularly impressed with TalisList, which provides a guided learning environment, and with availability of quality bibliographic records from Talis Base. The provision of fully shelf-ready books by John Smith's. working with Talis Information, has been a success.
