Abstract: The British Library has awarded the contract for the design, implementation and operation of its Corporate Bibliographic System to Axis Resources. Axis Resources is the ELiAS business partner for the United Kingdom. The Corporate Bibliographic System is the largest, most complex and most expensive information technology project in the British Library''s 25 year history. The new system will be operational from early 1999 and will provide an integrated data entry and editing facility, online information retrieval and product generation.
