Abstract: Presents collection development strategies and suggestions from the Danbury Public Library in Danbury, CT. Says that Library Journal Digital, the e-mail Daily from Publishers Weekly, and "Booklist" magazine from the American Library Association are traditional sources relevant to electronic collection development. Notes that visiting publishers'' Web sites is an additional strategy. Recommends "Internet World" and other computer-related journals and general-interest magazines for articles or features about Internet sites. Remarks that integrating catalogs with ordering systems, online book vendors, and reviews all facilitate selection capabilities, and complement traditional methods. Concludes that the trend toward electronic publishing continues to grow, but that print materials will remain vital to libraries. Includes two sidebars.
