St. Louis, Missouri, USA --Data Research Associates, Inc. (DRA) (Nasdaq: DRAI) announced today that its board of directors has elected Andrew P. Morrice as a vice president of the company.
Morrice joined DRA in 1994 when the company's Australian subsidiary purchased the competing library automation system for which he worked. He was successful in migrating most of that system's customers to the DRA Classic system that they are using today. Morrice was branch manager of the company's Australian subsidiary and subsequently assumed responsibility for its Singapore operations.
According to DRA President and CEO Michael J. Mellinger, Morrice's appointment is effective immediately and he will relocate to St. Louis from Melbourne as soon as arrangements for the move are finalized. "Andrew is well known to all the members of the senior management team," he continued, "and we look forward to having him join us."
Mellinger added that Morrice will begin immediately to oversee the company's international business and will assume additional responsibilities once he arrives in St. Louis. "Andrew's depth of experience managing our Pacific Rim operations positions him well to manage all DRA's international operations and his knowledge of DRA products and customers will be valuable in other areas of the company," he said.
