Berkeley, California. Jerry Kline, President and C.E.O. of Innovative Interfaces Inc. announced today that Bob Walton will join the management team of Innovative as Executive Vice President. As Executive Vice President, Walton will serve as Innovative's Chief Financial Officer, including responsibility for Marketing, Sales and Administration. Walton is well-known to librarians as an automation specialist, having served as a librarian, automation consultant, writer, library school faculty member, and, most recently, as President of CLSI, Inc.
"Innovative has grown dramatically during the past few years, and is now recognized as one of the leading providers of automated systems for libraries", stated Kline, "and for some time we have been looking for just the right person to further expand our senior management team. Innovative has worked successfully with Bob on a variety of projects, and when we learned that he was available, we saw an opportunity to strengthen Innovative by bringing him on board. His knowledge, library experience and talent will complement the strong Innovative management team already in place."
"I am very excited about the opportunity to play a role at Innovative", said Walton. "After leaving CLSI I explored a number of career opportunities. Having been involved in the library automation industry for years, I have always viewed Innovative with respect as a company with an outstanding product and a responsive and progressive service organization. I look forward to making a substantial contribution toward Innovative's continued growth."
