POMONA, Calif., May 23, 2000 - William B. Ting, Ph.D. has been named President and Chief Executive Officer for Dataquad, Inc., a subsidiary of Auto-Graphics, Inc. (OTCBB: AUGR). Dataquad provides software products and services used to create, convert, organize, manage and deliver database information utilizing SGML/XML technology via the Internet, CD-ROM and/or print media for business and government customers.
Prior to joining Dataquad, Dr. Ting previously held the position of CEO at BMDP Statistical Software, Inc. Further career history includes Corporate Vice President and CIO in charge of Information Systems and Planning at Geneva Companies, a mergers and acquisitions firm, as well as management positions at major U.S. corporations such as Northrop and General Dynamics. Dr. Ting earned his Ph.D. in Quantitative Methodology and International Political Economics from the University of Washington in 1976, and was on the faculty at University of Michigan.
Dr. Ting's prior management and finance experience should provide Dataquad with the capability to accelerate its entry into what is believed to be a substantial growth opportunity for the Company.
