Ameritech announces changes

Library Systems Newsletter [November 1995]

Ameritech customers recently received a letter advising them of a number of changes, including the creation of a single Customer Service Division under Steve Peacock; a single Sales Division under Arthur Brady; a Product and Market Management Division under a person to be designated; a Product Engineering Division under Lee Cheatham; an Emerging Technologies Division under John Kolman; and a Business Development Division under Kurt Hermann. The present International, Finance and Administration, and Human Resources Divisions will be retained.

The Sales Division, which is the one with which most readers of LSN are likely to come in contact, will be subdivided into regional and market type units.

The reorganization is the result of several months of meetings by internal task forces. It does not represent a reduction in staffing; in fact, the staff will grow by as many as 60 people in the next few months.

Customers were also told that Keith Wilson, Executive Vice President and one of the founders of Dynix, has left Ameritech and will be joining InfoLink Technologies, a new imaging/document management and retrieval company. The company said that he will continue to be involved with Ameritech but on a part-time basis.
