British Library national bibliographic service selects Sirsi

Library Systems Newsletter [August 1993]

SIRSI Corporation has announced that the British Library National Bibliographic Service has selected the Unicorn Collection Management System. The UNICORN software will be installed on a UNIX minicomputer at the British Library's center in Boston Spa in Yorkshire. The UNICORN software will be used to hold and edit USMARC records imported from a number of sources including the British National Bibliography and Library of Congress. UNICORN also will be used as a component in NBS's Record Supply database of over two million records.
