Two directories of higher education software

Library Systems Newsletter [February 1988]

A listing of software for use in higher education, compiled from the September 1985 through August 1987 “Computer Software for Higher Education” column in the Chronicle of Higher Education, is available through OCLC. The Directory of Software in Higher Education, compiled by Sandy Albanese of OCLC, lists the more than 500 software packages, with access by title, by discipline and by application. The price is $5.00.

For those who have Digital VAX systems, there is a free directory of 48 software packages available from the Clearinghouse for Academic Software.
