ALII opens Utah office

Library Systems Newsletter [February 1988]

Integrated local library system vendor Advanced Libraries & Information Inc. (ALI'I, and formerly ADLIB) of Honolulu has established a sales and marketing office in Salt Lake City. Doug Livsey, formerly with CLSI, has been named as Vice President for Sales and Marketing. The company's two products—Aloha, a multi-user mini or supermicro-based system and Advance, a PC-based system—include circulation, patron access catalog, acquisitions, and local cataloging modules. Both use the PICK operating system. The hardware of choice for the larger system is Sequoia, but the software will run on Digital, Prime, Honeywell, and other equipment. The smaller system runs on Fujitsu or IBM XT/AT hardware. The company claims to have a customer base of 16 libraries.
