DRA earnings up

Library Systems Newsletter [September 1996]

DRA continues to grow. Revenues for the first nine months of fiscal 1996 increased to $27.8 million, compared with $26.2 million for the first nine months of the prior fiscal year. The earnings per share were 75 cents, compared to 57 cents for the same period in the prior fiscal year. The increase was realized despite a marked drop in hardware sales from 1995 to 1996 because software revenues, the component of the company's revenues which carries the highest gross margin, increased 24 percent.

Among recent major sales are one of the next-generation client/server products to UCLA, a major software-only sale to the University of British Columbia, and one to Singapore for country-wide library automation.
