BASIS document management solution to be highlighted at electronic government conference & exposition

DUBLIN, Ohio, July 1, 1998 -The BASIS Division of Open Text will exhibit BASIS Techlib, a fully web-enabled integrated library system, at the 1998 Electronic Government Exposition (E-Gov '98).

Scheduled for July 8-9 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., E-Gov '98 is expected to attract more than 10,000 technology professionals.

"BASIS is a tool already widely used among various government agencies," says Scott Scharadin, vice president of marketing, BASIS Division. "Dozens of the most secure installations rely on BASIS and BASIS Techlib for managing large-scale document and multimedia collections."

BASIS manages the mission critical document and information collections of government agencies worldwide in 10 native languages. Current U.S. agencies using BASIS include: Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, Department of Treasury and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Now shipping, BASIS Techlib serves the automation needs of special libraries, and is geared to meet the market requirements of today and tomorrow. Innovations built into the new interface were derived from the comments and suggestions of more than 250 clients, as well as from a customer advisory group.

BASIS Techlib demonstrations will be given at E-Gov booth #110.
