POMONA, Calif., October 5, 1999. David J. Greene has been named a library systems consultant at Auto-Graphics Inc. (OTCBB:AUGR), a leading provider of Web-based information publishing and Internet database resource sharing systems.
Greene will be responsible for consultation and sales to libraries and library consortia in 13 western states, reporting to North American Sales Manager Albert Flores, according to Auto-Graphics Chief Operating Officer Bill Kliss. "Our expanding suite of products and services that facilitate electronic resource sharing among cooperative libraries calls for specialized knowledge and experience in the library automation field," Kliss said in announcing Greene's appointment. "David's expertise in this area will contribute greatly to our sales and marketing efforts," Kliss added.
Prior to joining Auto-Graphics, Greene was director of marketing for Innovative Interfaces in Emeryville, California. He is a member of the American Library Association and California Library Association.
"This is an exciting and challenging time for our sales organization as we expand our line of Web-based and stand-alone software into the areas of Z39.50 (an industry standard) services and our new AG Gateway, which centralizes a variety of library functions including Z39.50 management and access to reference databases a library makes available on the web," Kliss said.
