POMONA, Calif., March 18, 1999. Auto-Graphics Inc. (OTC:AUGR) announced it has named Ken A. Kemp to the position of account manager, joining the team responsible for the company's electronic publishing sales efforts within the Eastern region.
Kemp reports to William Kliss, chief operating officer. According to Kliss, Kemp's position represents the company's strategic move forward into the electronic publishing arena. "We plan to tap into Ken's experience in opening new markets in this growing field and anticipate that he will play a key role in our direction and growth in generating new business in this area," said Kliss.
Auto-Graphics recently announced two Web-based electronic publishing services from its Datacat subsidiary that are targeted to the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) industry. The company's MSDScatTM enables online querying of material safety data sheets (MSDS) by wholesalers and contractors. HVACRcatTM is a Web-based catalog solution of HVACR manufacturer product information.
Kemp brings extensive experience in electronic publishing sales and marketing to Auto-Graphics. Prior to joining Auto-Graphics, he held executive sales positions at Automated Graphic Systems and The Sheridan Press, and was director of sales and marketing for Mercury Publishing Services. Earlier Kemp began his publishing industry career as composition supervisor for the American Correctional Association.
