POMONA, Calif., September 29, 1998. Auto-Graphics, Inc. today announced the appointment of Lee Ireland to the newly-created position of vice president of marketing.
With a background in both library science and marketing to libraries, Ireland brings "the skills and experience essential to an important period of expansion at Auto-Graphics," according to William Kliss, chief operating officer. Auto-Graphics has recently acquired one of the largest databases of library records in North America and has developed specialized resources to serve academic and special libraries in addition to public and school library markets.
A veteran of the library field with over 24 years of experience, Ireland has held a variety of library and vendor positions. Prior to joining Auto-Graphics, he was product manager at Data Research Associates Inc., St. Louis, a library systems integrator. Earlier he was with AMIGOS Bibliographic Council, Dallas, where he directed marketing and sales activities. Ireland is a graduate of Augustana College in Illinois; earned a master's degree in library science from Northern Illinois University; and holds an M.B.A. degree from Portland State University.
