DRA confirms selection by Alaskan statewide consortium

St. Louis, MO -- Data Research Associates, Inc.(DRA) (Nasdaq: DRAI) today confirmed that it has been selected by the University of Alaska Fairbanks on behalf of the State of Alaska Libraries Consortium for award of a contract for DRA's next-generation Taos system. The total value of the contract is expected to be in excess of $1.25 million.

Although it is DRA's ongoing policy not to announce new business until a contract has been signed, information regarding this selection was recently included in the content of postings on the Internet. The company said that the timing of initial shipments from the contract would be subject to the completion of negotiations, and in accordance with company policy, no further details would be released until the contract was executed.
