COMPanion Corporation extends end date of Free Alexandria Single-User Software promotion

Press Release: COMPanion Corporation [December 15, 1999]

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, December 15, 1999 - Due to the overwhelming success of COMPanion's free Alexandria single-user promotion, COMPanion Corporation is extending the end date of its millennial promotion to April 1, 2000.

Hundreds of libraries have responded to the free single user promotion. One district plans to automate over 20 of its elementary libraries with Alexandria. In contrast, several small private schools are automating their libraries for the first time. Libraries that take advantage of the offer gain greater library management flexibility.

Librarians can call COMPanion or visit their Web site to request a free single user version of Alexandria to run on either Macintosh or Windows. Participating libraries also receive 60 days free technical support and a free electronic manual. This is not a demonstration version of the software. It is a fully functional license, with no limit to how long the product can be used.

"We have talked to so many libraries that aren't automated due to inadequate funds and many honestly don't believe that they will receive a fully functioning automation system, but they do. We want as many librarians as possible to hear about the promotion. We have had a huge amount of interest and believe there are many more librarians that will benefit once they have an opportunity," said Patrick Hansen, Vice President, COMPanion Corporation.

Call 800.347.6439 or 801.943.7277 for further information on the promotion.
