Alderson-Broaddus College has selected Geac's ADVANCE System for automating their campus library, the Pickett Library. The sale includes the purchase of license rights to Geac software and new hardware, including 11 user licenses for ADVANCE release 6.7 software, single licenses for GeoPac and GeoCat software, and a Sun server.
The Pickett Library handles 1,000 patron records; 100,000 MARC/title records; 100,000 item records; and 10,000 annual circulation. Alderson-Broaddus College is a small, liberal arts college located in Philippi, West Virginia.
Geac's Library Division offers client/server products which provide access to global information through graphical user interfaces and Web-based software. Our developing client-product line currently includes GeoWeb, Web-based public access software; GeoPac, a public access research workstation; and GeoCat, a MARC cataloging client.
