(Apr. 2, 1999) - Deere & Company, the internationally known manufacturer of John Deere agricultural, construction, grounds care and power systems equipment, has selected Sirsi Corporation's Unicorn TM Library Management System to automate its corporate library. According to Betty Hagberg, manager of library services, Unicorn will be used to route and manage the company's extensive serials collection.
The Deere & Company Corporate Library serves the library reference needs of John Deere Worldwide. The staff produces news summaries on competitors, offers desktop access to databases and full-text periodicals via an Intranet and manages a hard copy collection that includes more than 1000 serial titles.
