Project URL offers wealth of information about library automation

Library Systems Newsletter [June 1999]

Graduate Students at the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri-Columbia have developed a Web resource that is of great potential value to those planning to purchase an automated library system. They have systematically identified, classified, and evaluated electronic information related to automated library systems. There are links to meta vendor sites (some identifying as many as 160 vendors), individual vendors' web sites, personal and library Web sites, and electronic journals. There is an interesting history of library automation and an excellent glossary. A section on frequently asked questions (FAQs) has also been included.

The site has a very long URL: www.coe.missouri.edu/~is.334/projects/Project_URL.
