Ex Libris (USA) appoints Grant as president

Library Systems Newsletter [January 1999]

Carl Grant, until recently the vice president for marketing, product development, and international business at Ameritech Library Services, has been appointed president of Ex Libris (USA). Grant has also held high executive positions with Innovative Interfaces and DRA.

Aleph, the system marketed by Ex Libris, has over 450 installations in 39 countries, including its home country of Israel. The company also has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Luxemburg, and the United Kingdom. It has exclusive distributors in ten other countries.

While Aleph has been sold primarily to academic libraries in the past, the company has recently expressed interest in the public library market as well.
