While Best-Seller, the Montreal-based automated library system vendor, has pulled back from its effort to become a major player in the U.S. market, it is still active in the United States. Its latest customer is the Corrales Community Library of New Mexico. Other U.S. customers are the Cerritos Public Library of California and the French Institute of New York.
The company has been more successful in the French market. It recently signed the City of Lyon Municipal Library, the largest municipal library in France. Other French customers include the City of Grenoble, the Toulon Municipal Library, and the Vincennes Municipal Library. The company also continues to be strong in its home market. Its customers in Canada include the City of Montreal, the Supreme Court of Canada, and Statistics Canada.
The most recent addition to Best-Seller's product line is a Web-based NT system called PortFolio.
There are now more than 110 Best-Seller systems installed worldwide.
