AT&T ISP pricing

Library Systems Newsletter [October 1998]

AT&T has apparently authorized its sales representatives to meet or beat prices offered by competing ISPs to businesses and organizations, especially those requiring T-1-Internet access. The promotion can reduce prices by as much as 25 percent for T-l access, and somewhat less for lesser bandwidths down to 56 Kbps. The promotion is not being advertised and requires documented evidence of a better price from a competing ISP. That means potential customers must provide a bill for current service or a written response to an PEP. The promotion will last at least until the end of the year.
