The American Society for Information Science (ASIS) will hold its 1998 Annual Conference at the Pittsburgh Hilton, October 24-29. The meetings will include sessions on UNICODE, research on new interfaces for information visualization, use of the Web for global business intelligence, intellectual property, digital libraries in the K-12 environment, retrieval of non-textual documents, electronic scholarship, and a score of other topics.
Registration for members is $299; non-members, $399. Pre-conference seminars are additional.
