It appears that the vast majority of automated library system vendors are now able to commit Year 2000 compliance. CARL Corporation is the latest of several automated library system vendors to announce that it has completed the conversion of its ILS (Integrated Library System) product to Year 2000 compliance. It is currently installing the software throughout the customer base. The conversion usually takes only a day or two and does not require downtime.
