Internet access by 800 number

Library Systems Newsletter [September 1992]

CLASS, the Cooperative Library Agency for Systems and Services, now offers member libraries throughout the United States access to Internet through a nationwide 800 number. Libraries not geographically close to a provider of Internet access will want to compare CLASS costs with those of a provider in their area requiring a long-distance call to their node. The numbers can go either way so the comparison is crucial.
