Cuadra Star ported to IBM RS/6000

Library Systems Newsletter [July 1992]

STAR, the text management and information: image retrieval system developed by Cuadra Associates, is now running on IBM RISC System/6000 multi-user computers. The RS/6000 family is the second generation of IBM computers based on the Reduced Instruction Set Computing (RISC) architecture. The system is IBM's version of UNIX, called "AIX."

Concurrent with the porting of STAR to the RS/6000, Cuadra Associates has been accepted into the IBM "Business Partner" program as an Industry Remarketer. Industry Remarketers are independent organizations that meet IBM's requirements for adding value to IBM computer systems.
