The September-October 1987 issue of Library Technology Reports (Vol. 23, no. 5) presents an extensive survey of the libraries that have installed systems from the various turnkey and software vendors. Drawn from interviews with 55 libraries throughout the country and vendor client list analysis, the study documents the size and location of libraries that have installed commercial automated systems, and their experiences in acquiring, implementing and operating the systems. Library Technology Reports is published by the American Library Association. Single issues are available for $45; an annual subscription for six issues is $155.
