CRL conversion grant announced

Library Systems Newsletter [October 1987]

The Pew Memorial Trust has awarded a three-year grant of $250,000 to the Center for Research Libraries to convert more than 60,000 records to machine-readable form using the OCLC cataloging support system. That will mean that all but 140,000 titles in CRL's extensive collec-tions will be in the OCLC data base by 1990. CRL will also arrange for tape loading of the new records into the RLIN data base.
