And a hardware package

Library Systems Newsletter [October 1983]

To assist the potential purchasers of the microcomputer version of INMAGIC in assembling the necessary hardware, Warner-Eddison has arranged two "package deals" based on Columbia IBM PC-compatible microcomputers. The first includes the INMAGIC software, a Columbia MPL micro, a color monitor, dual floppy disk drives, MS/DOS, a letter quality daisywheel printer, a Hayes smart modem and a 50 megabyte Winchester disk drive divided into 25 MB of fixed storage and 25 MB of removable storage. The concept of removable storage is particularly useful for backing up data and developing and maintaining a number of different data bases on the one system. The price for this package is $14, 995. The second package consists of the INMAGIC software, a Columbia MPC micro, a color monitor, one floppy disk drive, a built-in 12 MB Winchester disk drive, MS/DOS, a letter quality printer and the Hayes modem. This package is priced at $8,995. [Contact: Walter Nichols, President, YES Computer Sciences, InC., 3090 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA 02745. (617) 995-8055.]
