The Digital Equipment Corporation, the largest manufacturer of minicomputers which is second only to IBM in total computer sales, has announced that it will begin to offer systems with fully integrated Sony videodisk players to users who want to develop interactive training applications. It is claimed that a PDP 11 or VAX based system will offer more power at less cost than one that can be realized with Control Data's Plato System.
