Data Research goes turnkey

Library Systems Newsletter [February 1983]

DRA of St. Louis, the company which developed the Cleveland Public Library system under contract, has decided to offer a generalized version of its system to other libraries. The initial system is now operating at Cleveland Public and 31 branches. The system uses two Digital Equipment Corporation VAX 780s. In addition to circulation control, public access by author, title, subject and series is also available. Other modules support local cataloging and acquisi-tions. It took DRA more than two years to develop the Cleveland Public system, but customers for the turnkey system can expect to be up much faster.
